About Senior Software Engineer - Devops role

As a Senior Software Engineer – Devops, you will work with the release engineering and cloud cost optimization activities of our entire enterprise application stack across all our cloud regions globally. You will also ensure our services are adequately sized so that no part of our application suffers a dip in performance. Lastly, you will do this at the lowest possible cloud cost.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

Some key responsibilities include:

• Manage the deployment of the entire software stack of Disprz across our global cloud data centers on Azure / AWS ( 80% Azure, 20% AWS)
• Deploy the entire suite of cloud services ranging from back-end APIs / services, micro-services, databases and other PaaS services like media services, traffic manager, WAF, etc.,
• Write scripts for deployment automation and implement CI / CD best practices
• Ensure SLAs committed with customers on availability are met at all times
• Ensure the cloud services are optimized for performance and cost, by taking a data driven approach to analyze utilization and cost
• Work with engineering, QA, product development and data science team within our agile squads to meet delivery deadlines
• Provide input to enterprise architects and principal engineers on the optimal choice of data or services backbone
• Research on latest DevOps trends, practices and implement them within our agile squads
• Act as the first point of contact for security and info-sec related queries by sales / pre-sales / customer success teams.

Required skillset

• Minimum 5 years of IT industry / tech start-up experience across software development and DevOps, with at least 2 years of experience in DevOps
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipeline and end-to-end devops automation.
• Experience in building automation for deploying builds on VMs.
• Serverless resources configuration and deployment on Azure - experience - is a plus
• Exposure to production deployments is a plus
