POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing district sales operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets within the sales division. This role involves overseeing Regional Program Managers (RPMs) and Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), developing strategic sales plans, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. The Director of Sales will collaborate closely with the SVP of Sales and Customer Success to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Sales Strategy and Implementation

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's goals and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the sales function and ensure the achievement of sales targets.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing district sales team.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to drive team success.
  • Ensure RPMs and ISRs are accurately tracking sales data in a timely manner.

Sales Operations and Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring consistent execution of sales strategies and achievement of revenue goals.
  • Oversee RPMs and ISRs to ensure effective prospect management and conversion.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for team and individual improvement.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to align sales efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Work closely with the SVP of Sales and Customer Success to develop long-term sales plans and targets and identify new market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Enablement to develop and implement training programs and content that enhance the sales skills and product knowledge of RPMs and ISRs.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Utilize data and analytics to gain insights into sales performance, market trends, and customer behavior.
  • Report on district sale progress to the SVP of Sales and Customer Success, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying sales strategies and performance insights to various stakeholders.

Sales Expertise and Market Insight

  • In-depth knowledge of sales operations, territory management, and client engagement.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other sales tools and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing sales teams to achieve revenue targets.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other sales tools and technologies, including CRM systems and analytics platforms.
  • Experience working in the education technology industry is a plus.

Base Salary: 120K-140K / Annual On Target Earnings: 240K- 280K+ (base + variable component)
