POSITION OVERVIEW

The New York City Partnership Manager (NYCPM) will be responsible for driving sales and renewals in a high-volume, transactional environment with a focus on identified school districts specifically in New York City. This role involves engaging with potential customers and customers primarily over email, phone, and/or virtual calls, conducting product demonstrations as needed, and adapting them into Learning.com program. The NYCPM will have a specific new business and renewal quota to meet. This position plays a crucial role in the company’s success by handling all of New York City renew business, upselling and renewals for the city.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Sales Execution

  • Engage with potential customers in New York City school districts, focusing on high-volume, quick-turnaround opportunities to drive new business.
  • Engage with current customers in New York City school districts, focusing on high-volume, quick-turnaround opportunities to secure renewals and upsells.
  • Conduct effective email/call-based sales outreach, quickly building rapport and identifying customer needs specific to State Program agreements.
  • Perform product demonstrations as needed, clearly conveying the value and benefits of the company's offerings, with a focus on the unique challenges outlined in specific State Program agreements.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team, including New York RPM, Director of Sales, Director of Customer Success and SVP of Sales and Customer Success, Director of Sales and Customer Success Managers to ensure alignment with overall sales and retention strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in inside sales, particularly those affecting New York City and all the boroughs.

Pipeline Management

  • Manage a high volume of identified New York City schools, ensuring timely follow-up to ensure adoption of Learning.com.
  • Utilize Gainsight to track and manage existing customer interactions, adoption activities, and progress towards renewal quota.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track and manage customer interactions, adoption activities, and progress towards sales quota.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively address customer questions and concerns.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Track and report on sales metrics, providing regular updates on performance against New Business, Upsells and Renewal quotas.
  • Analyze sales and renewal data and refine tactics based on data-driven insights.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Sales Skills and Communication Proficiency

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, persuade, and close sales in a transactional environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct effective product demonstrations that clearly communicate value to potential State Program customers.

Organizational Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of sales leads and activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Technical Proficiency

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking systems, with the ability to effectively manage and document sales activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in inside sales or a similar transactional sales environment.
  • Proven track record of success in an email/call-based sales role, with a focus on high-volume transactions.
  • Experience working in the education technology industry is a plus.
  • Experience in a POD Structure is a plus.

Reports to: Director of Sales

Department: Sales

Base Salary: 70K+ / Annual On Target Earnings (OTE): $140-160K+ commensurate with experience and qualifications.
