About the gig

The Accounting Associate and Tax Specialist is responsible for the management of all accounting transactions. Furthermore overview and manage the computation of taxes and prepare tax returns.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Associate and Tax specialist, your responsibilities will include:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Publish financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Assist the controller in the preparation of the audit
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Take record and control of the assets
• Supporting the finance team with other duties as required

Is this you?

• Proven experience as an Accountant and Tax/Fiscal Specialist or in similar functions will be highly valuable.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• A team player with high communication skills
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• You have hands-on experience with accounting software (Netsuite will be a plus)
• You thrive in a chaotic early-stage startup environment and enjoy having tons of autonomy with no bureaucratic BS
• 100% do-er attitude
